مشهد عجيب لهجرة السردين فى جنوب أفريقيا

تهجر وفود هائلة من السردين شمالا من المحيطات الجنوبية الباردة قبالة كيب بوينت جنوب أفريقيا إلى المياه الدافئة في كوا زولو ناتال، وتمر عبر الشواطئ لتشق طريقها على طول السواحل، في ظاهرة تعرف عموما باسم الهجرة السنوية للسردين يهاجر السردين بأعداده الهائلة في كومة يصل طولها إلى خمسة عشر كيلو مترا، وعرضها ثلاث كيلومترات ونصف ويصل عمقها إلى حوالي أربعين مترا. هذا العدد الهائل من السردين يجذب المئات من الأسماك المفترسة التي تصل بشكل جماعي للمشاركة في “الوليمة الكبيرة”.
