السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
تقع مدينة تافراوت بالجنوب الغربي للمملكة المغربية وهي تبعد عن مدينة تزنيت بحوالي 107 كلم وعن مدينة أغادير عبر أيت باها ب170 كلم يحدها شرقا الصحراء وجنوبا كلميم وشمالا أكادير وغربا تزنيت• معنى كلمة تافراوت في الأمازيغية تعني خشبة محفورة في وسطها، توضع بين مرتفعين أو جانبي وهدة أو مسيل لإيصال الماء من جهة إلى أخرى(1) وتطلق أيضا على الميزاب الذي يصرف مياه الأمطار عن السطوح وكذلك على خشبة يحفر وسطها طولا مع ترك حاجزين في رأسها(2) لغرس بعض الزهور المنزلية الجميلة
