The angry little boy

The blue sea, ships, and red flowers on the wall.
At the feet of the wall, a little boy is sitting. It is jeannot.
Do you think he is crying? No. he is angry.
He has been scolded by his mother. He did not want to say” hello”. His mother punished him. Eventually, jeannot got angry.
He tore his book of images. He pulled the cat’s tail, saying: “I am unhappy. No body is unhappier than me. ”
Jeannot gets up. He went through the fields.

In the first field, he meets a little gazelle who is crying. Why are crying little gazelle?
I am so lonely. The hunters killed my father and my mother.
My father was strong and used to defend me.
My mother was gentle and used to stroke me.
You are lucky for having a father and a mother.

The little boy gets in a second field.
An old horse is here. He is lying on the floor. He is moaning.
He tries to get up. He can not. He is no longer strong.
“Why are groaning?” asked Jeannot.
Unfortunately, when I was young, I was able to jump and gallop.
But now, I can not even get up.
How lucky you are for being young and strong.

In the third field, Jeannot meets a nightingale.
On a tree branch, the nightingale is singing.
Jeannot said to him:” why are you singing little nightingale?”
I am singing the blue sky, and the hot summer sun.
I am singing the colors of the flowers, the stroke of the wind, and the happiness of living. The world is nice, little boy.
Open your eyes, then you will be happy like me.

In the last field, Jeannot meets a little bee. The bee lands on a flower, then on another one.
“What are you doing little bee?”
I am working.
I am looking for my honey in the flowers. I am useful.
I am working, and I am happy.

The little boy goes back home. He knows now that he is happy. Happiness is to have a father and a mother to love you, Healthy body to run in the sun, eyes to behold the beauty of the world (to see how beautiful the world is), and courage to work.
