the learning styles theory implies that how much individuals learn has more to do with whether the educational experience is geared towards their particular style of learning than whether or not they are "smart". educators shouldn't ask, "Is this student smart" but rather "How smart is this student?(....) The learning styles theory also classifies learners into four categories: communicative, concrete, authority-oriented, and analytical.
